At ca 06:40 in this vid you will see the greatest moment in cinema history. I'm serious.

I was thinking that everyone could use a brief pause from the doom and gloom that's dominated my posts lately. So I'm going to share some of my favourite MST3K shorts.

Fair warning: These are extremely sexist. But Joel/Mike and the Bots make it all worth it.

As expected, Richard III will be buried at Leicester, where his remains were found.

The reaction in certain quarters is priceless.

Brought to you by, in my opinion, one of the funniest scenes ever in the history of British comedy (and that's coming from someone who isn't really into Mr Bean, most of the time). Appropriately enough, considering it's Who Xmas Special Day, it also features a guest appearance by a Dalek:

Time to break out the Walken.

And it's funny because I totally was Karen Powell. In fact, I think I still am...

Went to get my blood drawn this morning. Fasting. After too little sleep. And already being anæmic, of course.
Mild talk of blood and needles, in case you're squeamish about that sort of thing )

ETA: On an unrelated note, I think this means it's time to rewatch this:

My commentary on the new 'fuel' to the Diana Conspiracy:

I (sort of) randomly came across this. It is simultaneously one of the most hilarious and horrible things I've seen in my life!

Er, spoilers for Red Dwarf and 2001, I guess )

And now I really need to start working on my dissertation properly...

A couple of thoughts on Aliens, illustrated through macros.

Spoilers if you've been living under a rock for the past 26 years. Like I have )

Don't get me wrong: I really liked it. These were just the thoughts that first come to mind.
akashasheiress: (four/romana ii)
I was watching ''Shada'' last night with a couple of people from Death by Aspirin and we came to the conclusion that this is what's going through our heads whenever watching Four/Romana:
And now I'm for some reason imagining Douglas Adams doing that to Tom and Lalla... )

Election video by the vile Sweden Democrats:

I much prefer this version, myself:

I was re-watching that hilarious Dead Ringers Gladiator parody, and found out that they did several Doctor Who parodies, especially of Tom Baker. The best on is this one, where ''Four'' calls (the real!) Sylvester McCoy and McCoy seems to genuinly believe he's speaking to Tom Baker.

Best quotes:

McCoy: ''Are you all right? Have you been at the pub?''
''Four'': ''Oh yes, for several millenia''

''Four'': Canned food, five letters across.
McCoy: ''Spam''

''Four'': When I traveled through space and time, I had Leela and Romana''
McCoy: ''Oh yes, I fancied them, too''
